If you have a new product or you are adding value to an 'old' product to see whether you are able to sell it here - hone your skills and find out the best market value - almost for free. No need to get any ex­ pensive and complex payment facilities set up; just use EBay's PayPal facility for nothing more than a small percentage. I find it really exciting that would-be traders can try out their skills for such minimal cost or effort! It really is one of the modern commercial wonders of the world! I don't have shares in EBay - it is just such a great idea for anyone to try out an idea at minimum cost!

Because you might be so successful with Ebay, you may wonder whether it is worth the extra effort of finding a suitable domain name, setting up your own website,  webshop  and  promoting  it.  However  you  may  enhance  your  Ebay- based  selling  by  providing  bidders  with  a  link  to  your  website  where  you provide further information about what you are selling.

Sounds as if I am shooting myself in the foot here, but I have met a butcher selling  motorcycles  on  Ebay  (which  he  never  touched  -  it  all  happened  re­ motely) and he was moving into selling acoustic guitars.
